My 3-year-old mastered her balance bike much faster than expected. But when I try to put her on a bicycle, she has no idea what to do with the pedals — she’s never ridden a tricycle before...
I want to get her a tricycle quickly so she can learn pedalling. However, most of the ones I’ve seen look pretty cheap. Does anyone know of any decent tricycles with good tires, stability, and adjustable parts?

Check amazon and search for "tricycle with push handle". I like these for the parental control.

Suggestion? Since she's got the idea of balancing, go right to a bike with training wheels since she likely won't be on the tricycle for very long. It sounds like you may already have a bike? It's been a while, but if I remember correctly, you can get a set of training wheels that will bolt on to the existing bike.

If you do get a tricycle - don't get anything too special - for the same reason as above, she likely won't have it for very long.

Regarding the regular bike... DON'T get one where the pedals are locked to the rear wheel and don't free-wheel when coasting. Those locked pedals are dangerous!
