After realizing the throttle is very difficult to move on my 2003 282 Grady, I saw in my manual that you can adjust something is the actual throttle. When I attempted to take the cover of the throttle off it proved to be very difficult. Any suggestions? Am I doing something wrong? Let me know ASAP. Thanks in advance.

Most of the time, your type of problem is a bad cable. The throttle friction adjustment can get loose but doesn't get tighter all that often. Regardless, you need to remove the screws on the base and lift/pry the cover off. It may be stuck to the gasket, stuck to some sealant, adhesive or corroded underneath. I have a single control and that has 4 screws. I am not sure if the dual has more than that. It is pretty easy to break off those screws too.
