Upgraded Windlass

Hey Guys-
Anyone ever put an upgraded windlass on their boat? My Marlin's windlass is pretty wimpy. Slow to drop and retrieve, wondering if anyon has ever upgraded and how that worked out?

I upgraded to the Lewmar Profish 1000 freefall unit and have been pleased so far, plow style anchor with the 8 plait line (600') works well for me. In my case I had to upgrade the wiring.

I upgraded also to the Lewmar Pro Series (not the free fall model) and I find it far superior to the vertical windlass that came stock on my Marlin. Don't know if you had 8-plait rode o your 2004 but mine did and the stock Lewmar verticle windlass would stack the 8-plait steeply in the anchor locker till it jammed the windlass. Other problem was I thought it was a very slow windless. The ProSeries seems to have solved both of those problems.
