I recently decided to change the low pressure fuel pump on my 2002 F225. Yamaha part is either $900, or is unavailable. I found a Carter that would fit, and had some custom hose adapters made. Had to modify the bracket somewhat, using a grinder and a hammer. The engine runs great on the trailer, will be sea trialing it in a couple of weeks.
I will post more photos and the name of the machine shop that made the fittings. The fuel pump is used on numerous Mercruiser engines. Overall length increased by 5/8", but this was not a problem.
