Va Fuel Tax Refund

In the process of researching and obtaining info for the "big buy" I discovered that those of us that boat or will be boating in Va can claim a tax refund for all the fuel(gas and diesel) bought in the state. Va fuel tax is 17.5cent/gallon. All info and forms are on website: www.dmv.virginia.gov/webdoc/citizen/fuel_tax.asp

Delaware also refunds highway tax portion $ .23 gallon

I just found out Massachusetts refunds the highway tax too. There are a few other states that refund the highway tax: http://www.americanboating.org/fueltax.asp

Yes, they do (did) do it in Mass as well as other states. At least in Mass, you do not get all the tax back...in fact it's not even close. You need to burn a s**t load of fuel to make it remotely worth your while and diesel is not road taxed (hence the pink dye).
