I thought the armrests on my Pompanette helm seats were just dirty or had mold imbedded in them, but the folks I just used to detail the boat tried to clean them and said the vinyl was worn down and needed to be painted. I know about SEM vinyl paint, but have never used it. Is this something anyone has experience with? Thanks for your suggestions and/or advice!

I've used the vinyl paint from Rustoleum on a leaning post, and on the tops of my seats. So far I'm blown away how good it looks and how it is holding up. It has only been a few months, but more time will tell. I would not hesitate to use on the arm rest.
