vinyl seat repairs

Seeking some advice. A few small seams on my cushioned chairs are ripping slowly exposing a little dry rot. Local dealer wasn't much help. I'm trying not to replace the chair until next season. Any advice to waterseal the exposed seams while minimizing the visual appearance? Today, I looked at some vinyl patch kits. Are any worth the $ Will they work were the seams are unstiching? Thanks

I used some vinyl repair kits to repair some tears on the dash in a motor home. This kit was some kid of glue glue and you pressed the torn edges together. It really worked pretty well. The area of the repair was exposed to intense sun but nowhere near what a boat would see. Even so, I would give it a try, especially if the kit you saw was for marine applications.
