Has anyone had any experience with the Vortex trailer hubs sold by Tie Down Engineering? They advertise them with a 6 year, 100,000 mile warranty. The dust cap screws on and is backed by an o-ring. They claim that the pre-packed bearings have no need for periodic re-greasing. Sounds a little too good to be true to me.

What is the guarantee if the seals fail? I've found that there is NO and I mean NO substitute for good maintance when it comes to wheel bearings ESPECIALLY on a trailer that gets dunked in salt water.

The rear seal is usually as problematic as anything. Sounds as if TieDown thinks they've invented a better mouse trap ... :uhm
