2018 F 235 wash down is not working. Put it in the water a few weeks ago. Noticed the other day the hose was not attached, figured dealer forgot something. For some reason could not get original hose attached. Turned system on, heard motor and water came out.

Had some more time today and can't get any water. Seacock is open, battery on, light on helm is lit. Not hearing any noise from motor though. Any ideas

Raw water? Which one are you talking about? Pictures of washdown outlet and the failed "original" connection point would help a lot. No motor sound means either no power to pump or it is already under full pressure.

Sorry yes, raw water. The no power to pump is obvious, can you explain how it would/wouldn't work if under full pressure?

I am wild guessing because there isn’t very much information. Is your valve stuck closed? If there’s no power then that should be a fairly straightforward issue.

There is a pressure sensing switch on the pump that cuts out the motor when a certain pressure is reached. That keeps the pump from running when there is no demand. If there is a blockage, the pressure switch may be triggered stopping the pump.
The switches do go bad and can be replaced but in my experience, if the pump is old, replace the whole thing. First though, you need to make sure you are getting 12 volts at the pump connection and that the ground connection is good.

You also mentioned that originally the pump ran and water came out of the fitting but later on it didn't run.
Let it sit for a longish time like overnight and then try the switch. Listen for the pump. If it starts and stops, there is a blockage in all likelihood.
Often the first time you start one of those pumps there is residual water left in it and that is what spurts out. When testing make sure the flow runs for a while like 30 seconds.
Also, it is possible that the strainer/scoop) on the hull bottom is clogged with growth. There is a way to tell but you will need to remove the hose or pump depending on how it it plumbed.
You shut the sea cock, remove the hose and carefully open the seacock. You should see water flow in. Close the seacock!

Most likely you have dead pump or bad connection.

There is a pressure switch with the pump that turns it off when the system is pressurized, ie. when you close the nozzle. The pump only runs when needed, but the 12V is always there (at the pressure switch) when the switch is on.

For the pump pressure shut off to kick in you would have to have had a hose connected and closed nozzle on the hose. Since there is no hose and no pump running the first thing to do is to check the fuse for that pump.
if the fuse is good you will have to check power to the pump and if the power is there then it is probably the pump.

Is it safe to assume the seacock is open? If it's closed, the pump will run but you won't get any water.

Reminds me of a statistic I read years ago that said that 40% of home appliance service calls were for appliances that were not plugged in!
