Washdown/Livewell pump

I know there has been a lot of discussion on this subject in the past, from searching the old posts. But I have another question. It seams most agree that the Shurflo bait master pump is a good replacement for the combination washdown/livewell pump. will there be any problem using it because it has 1/2" in and out fittings as opposed to the factory pump that I believe has 3/4" fittings? Just get adapters and use the same hose size as factory equipped? I have a couple of days off and would like to get this project done.

yankee, installed the same unit last year...pretty easy and the adapters work fine....just double check your hose quality...if its original and 5+ years look real close for cracking rubber.......may be agood time to replace it.
