Last weekend I started detailing the 228. All decals removed and first pass compound on one side. The hull had been compounded and waxed regularly but the cabin etc. was fairly oxidised. I’m not sure if it was a good idea but out came the wet and dry sandpaper. No turning back now. Has anyone had success bringing back the non-skid to near original colour?
Fun fact. Grady cuts their bolts to size but don’t file the ends leaving little razors to slice open fingers, blindly searching for the nut to undo. You don’t even feel it. Just wonder where all the blood on the deck is coming from. All 4 fingers right hand, one on left. There was more blood on the deck than a good day catching tuna.
