Wet Feet under Helm

On my first fishing trip yesterday with my son I had drips of water on my feet coming from under the helm. I looked under as saw a garden hose looped over the steering box dripping water. Where does this come from? I do have a hard top on my 1994 208.

Follow it back to where it comes from if you can. Sounds like a previous owner got creative. I don't think Grady uses garden hoses for drains etc.

Our 208 has a ½ inch nylon hose under the helm that comes from the drain hole inside the electronics box on the helm-(no hardtop). There may have been some rinse water in a curve in the small drain hose, and when you got up on a plane, it spilled out?

I have a clear tube that drains the electronics box on the helm in my Seafarer. You can see the tube if you look carefully inside the box.
