I've searched high and low and can not seem to find a new anchor light to put on the hard top. The old light was a little stubby that mounted on the tower. The tower is staying off the boat for good so I need an anchor light that is at least 24" (open array is about 20" tall with wedge). However I do put the boat on a trailer and next fall will hopefully get it down the road so I want a fold down model.

What is everyone else doing? Suggestions welcome. jh

Perko 1209 Stow A Way all around light.

Comes in 24, 30, and 36 in. lenght, with a fixed surface base mount.

Pole plugs into and seals at base, removable from base for storage.

Call Freeport Marine, in Freeport, NY, ask for Mike.

i just bought the attwood b/c this year when putting it in the driveway hit the telephone wire and snapped the base. it's a fold down style pretty cheap built with a plastic base basically junk but going with it. it's only the twelve inch 47 dollars.

Anytime. It looks to be very sturdy, and since you need to lower it rarely, taking it out of the socket and placing in cabin isn't much of a burden.

I have the short pole, hinge model, and the base isn't substantial enough for a high pole, IMHO.
