What does this do … I’m stumped

toner E302 Rocket Release is extremely versatile, it is considered to be the “most paintable” release agent available when molding plastics and similar materials. Provides a long lasting anti-stick film for fast, easy part removal from molds and multiple part releases per application.
 
It is definitely a control lever for the seat or pedestal. The T handle to the right might be slide lock or rotate lock. You should be able to figure out what that does and eliminate one option from the possible list. General seat controls are slide, rotate and in rarer cases seat back adjustment/tilt back release.
The pedestal is not your standard type and might be height adjustable. Are there knobs or set screws on that thick ring on the pedestal?
Is the seat height possible electrically controlled?
Does the mystery lever move forward and aft?

The cables disappear between the bottom of the seat and the frame. I have figured out the rest of the controls …not that hard …up … down … swivel .. in and out … but that one has me stumped. I left a message with GW… but haven’t heard back from them yet
 
Have you sat down on the seat while flipping the lever/button side to side? My initial thought was something to do with the comfort of the seat, like a lumbar support or something similar?

That’s what I was thinking as well but I didn’t see or feel any change. And it stays under the seat pan .. not up the back. Initial thought was perhaps the front roll where your thighs are .. but haven’t seen any difference there either. I also thought maybe a flip up seat base but the frame wont allow that … it’s solid

I’m hoping SOMEONE with an express will answer me .. it’s driving me nuts not knowing about something in the boat

I know what all the other adjustments are for … what they do. It’s the close up pic that I am questioning

I did a Google image search and they're calling it a flush-mount paddle latch...

Not sure how accurate this is, just what Google is saying. It looks like your pedestal and possibly even seat have been replaced before? The original appears to have been metal/aluminum, of which yours looks like it's plastic. I'm guessing maybe the pedestal/seat were replaced and then someone didn't fully install/wire the switch all the way? Does it possibly recline the seat? Are there any manufacturer names/numbers on the pedestal, seat or switch itself? Try following the wires and seeing where they go, if you haven't done so already. As mentioned, I imagine someone might've replaced the pedestal/seat, added the reclining function, or whatever it is that the switch does, and maybe never fully wired it up?
