What is this and where do I get a new one?

So recently I noticed that my engine was dropping rpms at the top end and then during a subsequent trip it wouldn't even get that high. So I pulled the boat, replaced the plugs and fuel/water separator. There was zero water in the fuel but I currently have the fuel filter can in the freezer anyway (can't get the damn thing to unscrew), so hopefully I can open that up and replace the filter as well. While I was doing all this I noticed the following was broken under the cowling:
What's it for and where would I obtain the appropriate new one? I have a F250TXR.

That is the drain line from the air intake on the cowling. Any water spray that gets into the intake air gets settled out in that plastic baffle you see in the top of the cowl, and the water then drains down that line and back into the sea. I replaced mine right after I bought the boat. It was broken just like yours. I ordered it from SIM. Flushing that line should be a regular item you do. With the cowl laying on its back put the garden hose nozzle against it and spray water through it. When you turn the cowl back over you will see all the water drain back out.

The Yamaha part number is 69J-42647-01-00. That number is for my 2004 225. You need to check for your year.

Hmm, they have it in their exploded diagram (#5?) but the descriptions below for parts are a little funky. #6 is clearly the damper but what is the first #6 listed?

My part number is the first #6. Starts out 69J....the #5 listed as 68F, I don't know but probably for different model. The second #6 is the rubber boot that fits over the nozzle.

When in doubt, it's probably the more expensive one.

I looked up that number and it lists that number for the V6 models from 2010 to 2019. Probably ended when the new cowling style came out.

You may be able to use your serial number to figure out which one for sure. It would be worth a call to SIM because if you can use the #5, it would save you $20.

I do believe though that the one that starts out 69J is the one for you.
