What model Grady White do you own?

Hi all. Great site. We own a 87 seafarer226 powered by an 03 f225 yamaha on a bracket. Love the boat. Looking foward to getting some good ideas from the site.

I currently own a 2004 283 Release with twin F 225's. Looking to trade in the CC for a 33' Express with twin F250's this spring. This is my third grady (222 Fisherman and 209 Escape)...LOVE THESE BOATS..

I picked up my Grady 1/16/05. She's a 1983 245 Tournament (sea drive,) which was repowered in 99 with a 99 merc 225 carbed, hung on a Gil Bracket. For nine years I fished the backwaters behind Sea Isle and Avalon, NJ in a 16' Semi V Starcraft side console. The last three years we've been fishing the Delaware Bay, also. You really have to pick those days with a 16' aluminum boat. Last year we had more than our share of difficult moments out there, even though we always caught fish. I decided last August to get something bigger. I'm not much on bling, and was looking for either an older Grady or a wellcraft step-lift. All that concerns me is catching fish, having a beer or two, enjoying a day on the water, and then firing up the grill when I get home. This Grady was in a boatyard 120 miles from any salt water. They were closing for the season in mid December, and I got there 30 minutes before closing. It was love at first :shock: sight. The biggest problem was keeping my cool to negotiate 8). Talk about confusion?!? They thought it was a 22 footer (I registered here before I learned it was a 24) It seems like they let me have it just so they could get the heck out of there. Being an 83, it needs some work, but she's solid and true, and it's been a long time since I've been this excited about anything! One of my son-in-laws is a 'fish magnet', and he's more excited than me (he says this completely changes our options.) Hope to have her seaworthy by mid April. This is a great site. Thank for setting it up. Anybody want to buy a Starcraft?

like parthery, i to replaced an 18 tournament (1985) with a 1998 208 adventurer & a 175 evinrude. miss that wide walk thru on the 18. but the 208 does ride smoother.

we just got the boat in late september and have not had much time on it yet. we are extremly happy with the boat so far. It is a 2002 but only had 50 hours on it! We sea trialed the boat in Montauk with 35 kt winds and 6 ft seas and the boat handled it unbealivable. we cruise at about 4000 rpm at a speed of 28 mph and get the best fuel economy of 15 gph. Wide open she will do 38 and burn around 40 gph. It is a great boat and we would not trade it for anything! any other questions feel free to ask

I'm new to the site this weekend. I've been on the water all my life but I bought my first boat this fall. I bought a 2003 208 Adventure with a 150 Yamaha HPDI. I took a basic seamanship class this winter and I'm ready to give it a go in the spring.
I'm naming the boat DOUBLE DOWN because I shopped hard and kept coming back to the Grady 208 which was twice what I origianlly wanted to spend. I'm gambling that it will be well worth it.
I"m sure I'll benefit from all the experienced grady owners on the site. I hope to contribute in the future.
