I have the 2002 209 Escape w/175 HPDI. I will be stepping up soon. As my boys get bigger (ages 6 and 8) the boat seems to be getting smaller.

I have a 1988 204 Overnighter. Have owned her for almost 10 years. When i bought her she had a blown engine and had been stored in a warehouse for several years. It was a bank foreclosure and it needed a little TLC. Had the engine rebuilt and used it for 8 years. In 2002 I repowered with a Yamaha 200 HPDI. Also bought a new trailer, a Loadmaster in 2002.

It's been a great boat and I plan on keeping her for several more years.

Took delivery of our 04 Islander last June. It's our first GW and so far so good. Before buying I looked at alot of boats and even looked at a used Islander that I drove 200 miles to go see. It came down to 2 boats and the deciding factor for me was the Grady name...you know what your getting by the name alone...

I had twin F150's put on her and I'm glad I did...those engines do everything that's claimed.

The only thing my wife and I were stumped on was what to name her....when the boat came in we went down to look at it the day it arrrived... the name popped in my wife's head immediately when she saw it...

Can't wait for the lakes to thaw out..!! :D

Purchased a 2001 265 Express about 10 months ago. 100 hours on twin 225 OX66 motors. Rack stored in Deerfield Beach, Florida. You gotta love South Florida. Boating options 365 days a year. Unless of course, you are staring down a hurricane . . .

Named the boat "Enough Already", because after you got the Grady, what else do you need?

2002 208 w/225 Yammie 4-stroke.....just got it last week and took it out in a Pacific squall for the maiden voyage. It reminded me of the opening credits to Gilligan's Island so I was thinking of naming the boat Gill Again.

Glad to see the forum up and running so quickly and I hope to be a useful and frequent participant.

My boat is described in my signature. I'll be adding a half-tower with full enclosure as well. Once the galley is up I have lots of project pictures to post.

I fish the large freshwater lakes of Texas for Striper as well as tow to the coast and fish out of Port Aransas, TX for everything that swims.

See my signature for model & year. The boat's name is the "GRADY LADY"

The new (now 100 hours old) HPDIs are great. I had 1996 SWS 200 yams. There were the carbed model. The HPDIs are about 40% more efficient. :D

Greetings!

I'm the proud owner of a 2000 GW 265 Express I bought used
in Nov '04. It has T-200 OX-66 Saltwater Series II fuel injected
engines. It came with every Grady option available at the time
except outriggers. I've got Furuno radar, Sitex FF depth finder,
northstarGPS and icom VHF!

I think my 265 is as good or better than most other boats in the 26' class!
Unsinkable is nice too!

I am in the beginning stages of buying a GW. I am trying to figure out what I need. I know I want a 24 - 25ft. I would like a hard top with curtains. The engine configuration is the problem. In the past I have been an I/O man. I found that I could do 97% of the maintence / repairs myself. I do like the Idea of an outboard. It would be nice to take advantage of the cod fishing during the winter. Currently I have an I/O and once it is winterized you are done until spring.
