Hi Everyone. I'm about to repower my 2007 306 Bimini with Yamaha F300s. I'm wondering what props Grady put on the 306 Canyon with 300s? I currently have Saltwater Series II props and they are 15 1/4 x 19 T pitch. They work very well with my 250s, but the engines fall a bit short of red line at 5400 rpm. I'm thinking that my current props should work really well with the 300s. I used the Yamaha prop selector guide and the 15 1/4 x 19s came up as the first choice. But I thought I should ask some of you owners what props came on your F 300 powered 306 from Grady, and if you found them satisfactory? If you upgraded, what did you pick? What is your fuel economy, minimum speed on plane, cruising speed and top speed?

Thanks for reading!

I'm bringing this back to the top. If you have a 306 Canyon with Yamaha F300s, could you please take a minute to let me know what size props you are using and how you like them?

Bill, I have a 306 Bimini. Just repowered with 250 Tohatsus. Can you share what your solution was please? I'm trying to dial in my props also.

My old Yamaha F250s were also 2:1. If you had F250s on it before the repower and you liked your props, I would stick with them. My props were Yamaha Saltwater Series II 15 and 1/4” diameter x 19” pitch. I thought they were just about perfect for the boat.
For My new F300s I bought a used pair of SWS II 15.5 x 17 props. That is the size Yamaha used to test the 307 Canyon (same boat) for their performance bulletin and Grady recommends them. I’ll probably try my old props after the engines are broken in. Whichever set I like better, I will probably buy a new set in that size with SDS and keep the non SDS as spares.

Thank you. The boat had the 250 OS66's I never ran it as one was blown. I do have the props. solas lexor 19 pitch 3-blade. I get 32mph at 4000 rpm (1.5 mpg). 48 mph with tilt at about 5800rpms I'd like a little better performance at least into the 6000rpm range. I was getting that with the 3-blades with porrer performance until I toed out the engines yesterday (the center of the shafts are now 3/4" closer together than the toes). I was nice how they ran better after I did this. I first ran the boat with the 4 blade 21 pitch Powertechs. Thas what I was running on the motors on the scarab i pulled them off of. It was over propped 5000-5300rpm max. But it did cruise at 34mph at 4000rpm. I'm thinking I'd like to try the new Solas Pro L3.

3/4” sounds like a pretty big move. Did you do this in 1/4” increments and land on 3/4” as the best handling?

I keep it on a lift... so no, I did it in the water at a sand bar. Also switched the props there. lol. I did it all at once... they were actually toed in a bit before I adjusted. Next time I get the boat service or put it on my trailer I will re-check the measurements.

Per the Grady White website, they recommends "15 1/2 X 17 SWSII SDS" on their test boat with twin F300's on it, of which I've attached the link below for the performance data on it.
