What to do with an old fishfinder and transponder

I have an old (~8 years) Lowrance fish/depth finder and the corresponding transponder.

I just got a new one because the unit was working sometimes and not working other times.

Any ideas of what to do with the old system? I doubt it would ebay really well since it doesnt always work correctly.

Seriously, if it cuts out and you don't know which part is the problem, you shouldn't sell it besides it's value is nill. I doubt any of the new sounders are compatable with the old transdeucer.
