What type of helm on a 190 tournament

I have a 1982 190 Tarpon(Toutnament). I pulled the old helm out to replace it with a NFB helm that I had from my Striper and I noticed they look markedly different. I checked West Marine and didn't see anything that looked like what was on the boat, it's a Teleflex non tilt model. I'm just wondering what everyone else is using. I was really hoping to use what I have since the damn thing was only used for one season.

The question I have is does it fit? If it does then what is the issue of using what you have on.hand?

I'm not sure if it's going to fit yet without some type of mod. The top one is what the old one looks like and the bottom is the NFB.
