I have heard that some boat manufacturers have more issues with blisters than others. How does GW rank? Apparently a quality glass and gelcoat job can make a difference.

A lot of it is also due to the composition of the gelcoat.

From what I have learned, blisters are few and far between with Grady. I've had the same (excellent) experience with other good manufactuter's, like Sea Ray.

My 1975 Overnighter had them. Neither of my Seafarers developed them.

GW seems to be pretty good at spraying the gel coat and laying up the glass.

I've read there were some blister issues in the late 70s or early 80s. Since then no issues that I'm aware of.

I hope that there has not been many responses to this topic because no one is finding any on their boats.
