So after a couple of years of ownership, I am looking at moving to a center console for a variety of reasons. Just trying to gauge what my boat is worth. An overview of what I have done is in this thread: https://www.greatgrady.com/threads/updating-1988-242g.36953/

1988 242G Offshore with a 2019 Suzuki 250 with 250 hours with 2003 Magic Tilt Bunk Trailer that is roadworthy and in good shape.

To summarize (in no particular order):
-Good Year Endurance Tires on the trailer (about 2 years old)
-Replaced Hubs and springs last year
-Re-cored Soft hatch above fresh water tank
-Added Fusion RA70 unit with Rockford Fostgate Amp and 4 6.5" speakers
-Painted deck with TotalBoat Total Tread
-Cleaned up the wiring
-Batteries are 2 years old
-Engine is up to date on maintenance with oil change/lower unit gear oil/water pump impeller all done in May 2025
 
My initial gut feeling is telling me $15k-$20k... of which I believe you said the previous owner was asking $13k for the boat when you were looking at potentially buying it? There's a 1984 with a hardtop on Boat Trader right now that's been on there for quite sometime, it's been repowered with a 2023 Suzuki 350 on there that has 75 hours on it as well as a newer trailer and they're asking $30k for it.

$11K. Almost a 40 year wooden hull boat. Get a survey and pay attention to coring, stringers and most of all transom.
