I am looking at a pair of 2003 Yamaha 200 HDI's to replace my 1990 Yamaha 200 that are worn out. The seller is only selling the motors. So my question is: What am I going to have to go out and buy to make this change over? Worried about these hidden cost that I need to factor in before I pull the trigger.
Thanks,
Paul

If your controls are in good shape, just some adaptors to connect the old to new.

Like Grog said. Also, you will need to replace the oil tanks below deck as the design changed for the HPDIs. Just went through this repower myself (93 200 Yammies to 2008 200 HPDIs). Our controls were ok, but decided to go ahead and replace all the controls, gauges, cables and battery cables. You should have fuel filters for the HPDIs that are 10 micron. Our older carb'd motors used the 20 micron filters.
