Where would the Flux Gate Compass be in a 33 Grady Express

I own a 2001 Grady White 330 Express that was purchased at Gifford Marine, in Dartmouth, RI in 2006. I'm trying to find out where the flux gate compass for the Simrad Auto Pilot would have been installed, inasmuch as I'm having a problem with the auto pilot and I'd like to be able to locate the Flux Gate Compass without taking the boat appart. Can anyone out there help me?

Can you trace the cable? Should be white color(well, mine is).

A great place to be is under the aft bunk. Remove the cushions and should be a hatch there, unscrew it and look around. That compass should always be in the middle and lowest part of the boat possible.

My Simrad fluxgate is located under the tackle cabinet in by the steps to the bridge. The installer removed the whole module and placed the compass below it.

Thanks to all who responded. I found the flux gate compass in the cabinet, below the sink, in the head!

I have a 2004 G/W Marlin 300. My fluxgate compass is mounted in the bow under the starboard side cushion under the V-berth. It is as centered as possible. I hope that this helps.
