I sometimes feel a little bad for crew sitting on the fish boxes. Whenever we are out in the rain (which happens occassionally in western WA) or we take waves over the bow, the water from the hardtop rolls aft and drips/pours onto those folks. I'm thinking a little awning off the rear of the hardtop would reduce this and put the water onto the middle of the deck back there. It needs to be collapsible and only used when we are running so it's out of the way while tuna/halibut fishing.

Any ideas?

Talk to your local canvas shop and tell them what you want to do. If they are any good, they will meet you at the boat and give you options.

I'm looking for some ideas and maybe even things to avoid from those who have had one made. I have an idea or two, but totally lack expereince in whether it'll work out right or if someone has found a better way :)
