My first Grady with a windlass, maybe it's just how it is but I don't like how the anchor isn't tight in the windlass and the chain is elevated and not flat. Is this just luck of draw, or anyway to get it flat?

As long as the tip of the anchor is not hitting the fiberglass of the bow, you're good. I couldn't tell if you have a restraint on the chain, but it's a necessity when running fast and on the highway.

It kind of looks like that's a roller meant for a fluke anchor?

But, as mentioned above - if it works it works.

And, yes, don't forget the safety chain... unless you like the option of the anchor ending up in your prop.... or acting as a, well, an anchor on the highway!
