I have a 2004 330 express that I need to change the windlass solenoid. Any suggestions on the best way to access and change?

On my 330 it is in the anchor locker. Very easy to get to from in the cabin or from topside. It may be easier from the hatch in the cabin.

Thanks for the reply, unfortunately mine is next to the switch and breaker behind the helm.

Surprising! My breaker is on the battery select panel. I am surprised they have such heavy wires running all the way from the helm to the windlass. They must have changed the design in 2007. On my boat, the area behind the switch panels and helm is accessible behind the AC DC panel in the cabin. I pull The AC DC panel which has eight screws and can get to the back of the helm that way.

Thanks, I thought about that. I just wasn’t sure how much slack there is in the wires to get it out of the way and get behind it. I’m going to try it .

I have an 2001
Mine is right under my switch panel at the helm. I just removed the screws, lifted the panel out and was able to get to the relay.
