Hi, I have a 1989 Tournament and this weekend, the walkthrough windshield framing became detached from the fiberglass.. I am trying to figure out how it assembles to the fiber. It looks like I would have to take the glass out and attach from the inside of the frame to the fiber with screws. Would that be correct?

Also, any ideas on how to replace the framing so that it's sturdy and will not come loose on me again?

Thanks!

I took the windshield off a boat once to fit it in the garage. It was held on with machine screws that had T shaped heads. The T end slide into the track on the window frame and the threaded end went through the fiberglass and was attached with washers and nuts.

You should have a removable nylon strip at the exterior base of the windshield frame. Pop that out and you'll see multiple screws. The strip is probably brittle, so work slowly ...
