I am planning on buying a Grady White Seafarer 228 that has a pressurized sink and a john that has a holding tank and a macerator.

Just what is involved in winterizing this system?

Thanks for the help..

Bob,

Drain all the water by turning on your faucet until there is no more water coming out. Then go to the cockpit shower and do the same.

Add the pink antifreeze to the water tank and turn on the faucet in the cabin until the pink antifreeze comes out. Then do the same for the cockpit shower. And your done.

As far as the portapotty goes i just remove it from the boat. and open the valve for the mancerator to let what ever water, if any, in the hose drain out.

I also pull the hose off of the salt water washdown and drain the pump. I leave the seacocks open and let them drain.

I hope this answers your questions.
