I have a 2000 272 with factory hardtop. It has a radio box with VHF and stereo inside. The wires for the stereo speakers run into the support pipe. How can I rig 2 more speakers in the back of the boat? Any easy tricks to getting the wires from box to the back and from right to left?? Thanks for any ideas.

i don't know that setup, but my '02 gulfstream and my 330 had conduit piping running down from the box to the side of the helm area (not thru a support pipe). if yours is actually the same, you should be able to run wire down to the helm and then make your way towards the stern (under gunwales or thru some of the several rigging tubes under the decks). ron

ps: while the gulfstream was all open at the box, on the 330 you have to remove a speaker to get to the conduit (not hard to do).

If you don't have a separate pipe from the hardtop to the helm, get one. My '91 didn't have one and it was a nightmare running a coax cable through the pipework of the hardtop.
