Hello everyone,
I'm new to the group and are looking to buy a Grady White Tournament and/or Freedom. I would like it to 20' to 26' please. I'm willing to travel for the right boat. If you or someone you know have one for sale please let me know. Greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Good luck with your search, I was in your shoes until June of this year when I found mine. A fellow member on here responded to a post that I made very similar to yours.

My advice would be to set alarms on Facebook and craigslist and be ready to jump. I traveled from Boston to Virginia with cashiers check in hand. Make sure you look at some local ones, even if you don't think it's your perfect boat. It will give you an idea of what's out there , what condition , and price. That way when you find the right one pull the trigger. I found in my quest, the good ones were gone the first day, if not, in hours.

I picked up a 2014 freedom 225 w/ Yamaha 300 (175hrs) came with aluminum trailer and no bottom paint. Definitely worth the trip, seller was great to work with and a good person.

30-40k you could probably find a early 2000’s Freedom 225. We just purchased a 2015 and it was around $70k.

You can definitely find them, but like others said, the good ones go very quickly. Market is heated…in two years time you will have better luck tbh, but also try connecting with people at local marinas to put some word out. Some people will rather a smooth transaction than top dollar.
also the season is ending in many parts of the country so you may have some luck as winter approaches.
many people hauled out with the storm hitting the northeast this week.
