Has anyone been able to determine if there are certain year models of Yamaha F225's that have the corrosion issue? I'm shopping for a used Marlin, and would like to know which ones may have this issue.

This is an article published by BoatUS regarding the corrosion issue. Also there is a lot info regarding this issue on this forum as well as THT. My F225's are 2005's with just over 400 hrs and I just had the exhaust kits installed.
good info in the above article. Basically consider all f225's before 2006 are going to need new midsections. I would not be afraid to buy a boat with these engines, just factor the repair cost into the purchase price. The jury may still be out on the early f250's. Time will tell. Both of my 02's have had the repairs.
do not buy a used 2002-2005 F225 .It's not only the mid section , I had a hole in thermostat housing ,ruined the engine.Google F225 Corrosion and you will see numerous problems.
