Yamaha F350 feedback on various boats?

No Clue... Was out all day. Ran around 150 miles total. Last stop when I left, something didn't sound right. We pulled the cover and the rubber ring on the balancer had broke loose. Thought maybe it was just the flywheel. Limped back the last 8 miles on one engine.(no it won't plane on one engine..9mph), Called the dealer he brought out a flywheel in the AM. I already at that point confirmed the crank was broken. I could wiggle the flywheel. Ran it down to the dealer for repair. He has it now. Says new power head on the way. Everyone is shaking there head.. Still love these engines....but

If the engine is externally balanced, loosing the harmonic balancer will REALLY mess things up. The lack of balance can break a crank, it was probably dancing pretty good back there.

Gulfcart,

What was the scoop on your F350??? Any explanation from Yamaha?

Didn't get an explanation, just a long block. They did change the flywheel on the other engine also. They also took care of some additional charges not covered. Got it back last week.. Now I'm dealing with an oil leak... Dealer issue.

One of my F350 has a broken crank...happened 3 weeks ago. Was just told by the dealer that they received a bulletin to inspect flywheels at 100 hours and service under warranty if necessary. This bulletin came out 1 1/2 weeks ago, would have done me no good. I did notice that the engine in question seemed to be burning oil - had put a quart and a half in for 100 hours run time.
