Yamaha guage maintenance message removal ?

I have a Yamaha F250 2007 with the square command link guages. I just did the 100 hour maintenance on the engine but now I cannot stop the maintenance message from showing up on my Tach/hour meter guage. Does any one know how to reset this message so it will not show up until the next 100 hour service reminder?

Instructions are in the Command Link manual not the Engine owner's manual.

Had to do it last month myself for the first time. If I remember correctly???...

press and hold MODE button for 4 seconds to activate CUSTOM mode. Press SET button to get to the MAINTENANCE screen. While the numbers (100h ) are flashing, press MODE & SET together for 1 second to reset.


It took several tries to get it right. Key off then on again to retry. Kind of a PIA!

Won't be be on the boat til next week to check if I remembered correctly.

Thanks for your advice. After you mentioned the Command Link manual I remmembered I had put it away separate from the engine manual. I followed the instructions which were the same as yours and the message is now removed. Thanks again for replying, it makes this sight a great resource. Steve.
