Steve,
I have used the Seloc, Clymer and Yamaha manuals in the past. The Yamaha always gave the most detail (especially in the schematics/drawings), but they were sometimes written in broken English. I guess some of the technical writing is nearly impossible to translate from Japanese to English. As such, sentences are often written as "Install spacer between top and bottom of cylinder heads." When in reality it should have read, "Install gasket between back of cylinder and cylinder head."

So, to answer yoor question, yes I would recommend the Yamaha manual if you plan on ever doing more than spark plugs, water pumps and fuel filters. Otherwise, save some money and buy the Seloc.

Needless to say none of the publishers of the manuals will be hiring me anytime soon to write for 'thems.'

Anybody have an opinion on the $100 Yamaha factory service manual vs the $25.00 "Seloc" aftermarket manuals?

Any others?

The savings buys me 21.3 gallons of fuel.

Thanks.

i have them all
