Upscale electrically deployed telescoping shades can cost $10,000 or more for that hull with installation
Less sophisticated, shade systems that are semi-permanently installed run about $2,00 , self installed.
The quality of the material, workmanship and support structure greatly affect the price. You also need to make sure that the shade is designed to be used while sailing as opposed to just at the dock if that is one of your needs.

I am thinking about one for a new 228 to be used at the dock. I've seen several inexpensive ways to do it but as they say, cheap is cheap and not necessary good
Cheap is necessarily bad. If a good shade costs 10 times a cheap one but lasts 5 times as long, it may not be the better choice. The main issue is whether you need the shade to hold up when using the boat at sea and not just docked. If used only at the dock, the less expensive options might be fine.
Two (maybe three) factors affect price: The fabric is one. The quality of the hardware, mainly poles is another, and to some extend the brand. Don't assume that an item is better made just because it is the most expensive option.

I have about $80-90.00 into this shade. Shade and poles are from Amazon, I added pvc pipe to bottom of poles so they would fit in rod holders better and added a few grommets to the shade. I leave it up all week while gone just lower the poles all the way down. So far super happy with it.
This is exactly what I am looking for. More specifics on what you have?

These are the poles I ordered but looks like they are not available right now and the shade also, since you have a 330 you would need a larger size but should be able to find one that works. Plenty of them on Amazon in different sizes and colors to pick from. I also got some nylon webbing straps with plastic adjustable buckles to attach the front side to the hardtop tubes. I got that stuff at a local Ace Hardware store. Like I said I did add grommets which go over the stem on top of pole so the shade stays tight and does not sag. I have actually traveled along at about 15 mph with it up with no problem. I will get pics of the bottom of poles that I added the pvc this weekend and post them for you. I feel these shades are better than the canvas once because they are lighter, will store up in a smaller package and do better with the heat transfer. Hope this helps any other questions just ask and I will answer.

So this a work in progress on my 01 330,
I put 2 station holders in the back corners of the transom, inserted stainless tubing, capped with an enclosed end that has a ring on it, used a sail boat pulley and small line chock to lock the cord with an S hook on it. All from West Marine. Bought some sail shade sunbrella and had a local upholstery shop attach the cord that slides in a channel up on the hard top. Also had him put a D ring in the center that I attach a shock cord up to my center rigger. He has trimmed the sides and back since this picture. I chose to put the rods it the corners to get more shade and keep the rod holders free for a grill. The 3rd pic shows the set up I used, but I did a single pulley and cord. If interested i will take more pics this weekend.
