Rhodan 96" TM on Canyon 306

Checking to see if anyone on this forum has installed the Rhodan 96" 36v trolling motor on there Canyon 306. Looking at putting on my 2020 with the lithium 36v battery. Any responses would be welcomed!
 
There was a post on a 30' Marlin, large vessel in that class with the setup. I saw it since have the same boat and was curious on the reality of hit holding in gulf of Mexico seas.

Trolling Motor on a 300 Marlin

I've always anchored or drifted over spots. While we were between boats my wife and I fished off friends boats with GPS anchored trolling motors. Well we bought the Marlin and the wife wanted a trolling motor on it. So, we got a trolling motor. The Rhodan 36V 96" shaft trolling motor works...

There is a good video on YouTube of an installation on a 32 SeaVee which is very similar to the Canyon 306. I think it will perform if you stay in moderate sea conditions which is what I do now. When I was young would go no matter what they were!
 
I installed a 96" Rhodan on my 336 Canyon the end of July...used it in Key West and it worked AMAZING...We used the 36V Lithium battery from Lithium Pros and their charger. It took a lot of planning and was not inexpensive. it took us the better part of a day to complete the install. Send me an email if you want more specific details.

How did you get the backing plate up under the top deck?
 
We used the side of my anchor locker and installed a 4" waterproof deck cover on the side...the backing plate was handed up through the rope locker. Private message me and I will give you my contact info to talk.

Please share in this thread I have the Bimini 306 and have been looking into adding a Rhodan for a year now. I would like to know how you installed it as well.

Unfortunately with the back order on the 96" TM I am 13 weeks out from receiving a motor. Trying to gather all the information I can prior to receiving.
