HELP with broken flange on drain plug in fish box

It is however, the fish box always holds ice, sometime salt ice but at the end of the day everything is rinsed down with fresh water. So... with any luck it shouldn't be that bad I'm hoping. Worst case scenario I'll have to replace it every couple of years.

HELP with broken flange on drain plug in fish box

Thanks for the help. I managed to find a sink drain assembly from a plumbing supply store and the flange is the exact width and bevel which fits my fish box perfectly which was the biggest concern as other "thru-hulls" were too "proud" at the bottom of the fish box and would definitely leave...

HELP with broken flange on drain plug in fish box

The slightly beveled flange has broken off from the threaded 1" plastic pipe which drains from my fish box on the stern starboard side (1988 Grady White Gulfstream 230). The word "Klein" is stamped on the underside of the beveled flange but I can't find anything on the internet. Any help or...

Diesel heater location for 1988 Gulfstream 230

Looking for input for a brand and position placement of a diesel heater on a 1988 Gulfstream 230. I'm looking at heating both the cuddy cabin area but mainly the helm area as 6 a.m. charter trips even in the summer off Tofino Vancouver Island are chilly. Thanks.

Bennet Electronic Trim Tabs Sizing questions for re-fit.

Actually they're 12" x 8 1/4". So... yeah 24" is probably overkill. 18" wide will suffice and now curious if anyone has any feedback on the depth from the transom. Choices are either 9" or 12".

Bennet Electronic Trim Tabs Sizing questions for re-fit.

I'll be swapping out the hydraulic Bennet Trim Tab system on my 1988 Grady Gulfstream for a new Electronic Bennet system over the winter. My question is: Based on the fact I have a customized pod that mounts the twin 150's and 15 hp Pro Kicker out a little farther than a stock configuration...

Oldest 232 Gulfstream owner with original fuel tanks ?

I replaced both tanks in my 1988 Gulfstream 230 a couple of years ago. When it comes to fuel, don't mess around. It cost me $1,700 to have both tanks welded up (knocked off 2" all around so they'll go back in a lot easier). If you're handy it's pretty straight forward and it'll be a lot...

    Gunnel Mount Rodholders

Remove the "kick-board" or whatever you call it and on the horizontal surfaces where the kick-board attaches to you'll need to fabricate, preferably stainless, a short "U" shaped channel piece wide enough to accommodate the bottom section of your rod holder. Put 2 screws vertically through the...

    Gulfstream Full Refit

I've got a 1988 Gulfstream which I'm "re-storing". Anyways I noticed you were going to install a 9.9 kicker. A word of caution... if you're going to be doing any amount of time trolling the 9.9 high revving sound gets annoying trying to push the weight of the boat around. I installed a Merc...

Hull striping on 1988 Gulfstream 23

The last owner cut-polished the hull and there's no discernible "ghosting" of the previous striping outline

Hull striping on 1988 Gulfstream 23

Looking for someone with a Grady 23 in a 1988 to 1990 model who could provide me with details on hull striping. I'll be ordering the stripes from hullstripes.com but I need to know how wide the top large stripe is, the width of the smaller bottom stripe and how far apart they're spaced.

    Trailer sizing for Gulfstream

Thanks. The trailer will definitely be hydraulic/electric disc brakes. A friend of mine forgot to take his identical boat (1992) through the weigh scales to get an axle weight so its winter now and I've got time to do some research. A 10,000 lb trailer in Canada is about $13,000

    Trailer sizing for Gulfstream

I need to buy a trailer for my 1988 Gulfstream with twin Merc 150's. I intend to trailer with only the main tank 1/2 full with only fishing fear aboard. I believe this model runs about 4600 lbs. dry weight. Engines are 455 lbs. each. My question is what should the minimum GVWR be in a...

1988 Gulfstream - toggle switch panel

Would like to get some help with the location(s) and function of the various toggle switches (bilges, wipers etc.) found on the panel in front of the throttle controls of a 1988 Gulfstream. There's quite a few switches, some work but would like to know what each toggle originally operated. The...
