Trim the motors up at cruise as far as possible. My 265 will dig in if not and bow steer radically.

2001 265 Express 2011 225 Mercury

There is no "Main Cable" there are either two red + leads and two black - leads. each is separate and goes into a pry open pin type clamp holder. The light duty cable has one black and one red. The 24" dome is the 4kw radome. The eight or nine wire data line is separate and is the thin 1/2 inch...

Go to Raymarine Legacy Product page for instructions on how to wire the dome, be careful with the data plug...it is very fragile.

I have an 01 265. It's a joy in really rough seas. Trim the engines up and keep the bow up. It's the V that grabs a swell and makes it swerve. We do 30kts in fours and fives. Power up and stay on top. It's unnerving and counter intuitive at first..but works.
