That door is a molded plastic and solid color through. Suppose you could paint it, but would likely require a lot of prep to make sure you get adhesion.

If you have a rod holder near the ladder there are hand rails that fit in a rod holder. Also, if you don’t have access to tighten a nut a surface mount rail may be stout enough.

Anywhere to add another hand rail to help?

If your 215 has a Bimini top that comes with a dodger from the windshield to the Bimini and side curtains. I believe the rear curtain is available as an option which would fully enclose the cockpit. If you put up the companionway curtain that seals from the bottom of the windshield to the floor...

This is on a 215. Marinco plug for your extension cord. The dual battery charger is on the other side of that bulkhead. I put in a NOCO 2X5 amp. Looks like over tightened fasteners. Repair is usually to route layer of gel coat off and then fill. Non-structural.

If you have a t-top, LaPortes makes a cover called a “console cover”. I bought one for a small Pioneer I had a few years ago. Basically they’re like a shower curtain that hangs from the outer tubing of your top. Doesn’t cover the entire boat obviously, but covered the console, electronics, etc...

I used Caj Flynn years ago to move a smaller Grady from Pompano Beach to Charleston. Did an excellent job at a fair price. All “blowables” were stowed and hatches taped down.
