Yes, New Wire made the panel for me. There was a challenge they overcame - the top of the helm has a large radius at the top edge. With my template they were able to photograph the top of the template so they could digitize that radius, convert that to CAD, then g-code to run the CNC router...

Here’s a before and after using a simulated carbon panel from New Wire Marine. Laid it out physically with cardboard and templates to confirm usability. The helm is much smaller (Freedom 225) than yours, but you get the idea.

Not on a Grady, but on a 29 Back Cove I had mesh curtains that covered all the cabin windows, including the windshield. Guess any marine curtain shop could make the panels, then add snaps to secure them.

I did a search for used engines of that vintage and pickings were slim. I did find one ad for a single motor, with rigging and gauges, also with mid-section rot and the seller was asking $2,000. I’d be inclined to part out the engines and hopefully recoup some of the recent expense, plus...

Isn’t the mid-section repair $3k/motor? After that repair are they worth $8-10k each with 1000+ hours?

Here’s a stern saver with a Garmin side scan/clear vu transducer on a Grady 215. I also glued (epoxy) one tie wrap block for the transducer cable above the stern saver so I had no drill holes below the water line.

Assuming you’re referring to scuppers, that happens when the boat is stern heavy. Could be from water accumulation in the hull (bilge pump not working), repower with a heavier motor than original, added batteries, bracket has water in it, among other reasons. Perhaps easy fix.

Get the Guflstream and rent a suitable tow vehicle for the few occasions you need to trailer the boat.

I’ve installed a few, all with internal antenna and never had a problem picking up satellites. A couple were hardtops. You should be fine and if not add the external antenna later.
