Here’s a video of replacing the motor shaft key. Dont know if it applies to your model but the one I had was similar to this. Video guy is a bit cumbersome but you get the idea.

Going from faded memory and not sure the models are the same, but the one I had on a Back Cove you pulled the motor from inside the boat to access where the key is (was).

I think those have a key between the motor and propeller shafts. May be sheared.

More so Yamaha than Grady offering digital controls. Digital shifting, throttle and steering was introduced in higher end, higher horsepower motors somewhere around 2018, I think. On a 215, common power is a 200HP which would likely be hydraulic steering. the 250HP has electric steering...

I’d try priming the pump from the bait well side by using your hose at the livewell water inlet.

The scupper has probably seen better days. It’s normal for your bilge pump to kick on when loading on a trailer. Angle of the ramp/trailer runs water to the stern and bilge pump did its job.

First thought for me was motors were trimmed up during winter, water collects then freezes. Any prop damage?

Here’s a pic of my 215. I’ve since sold it so can’t provide measurements. It was set up by the dealer “bow high” on the trailer which helped with the angle of the hull for launching and retrieving.
