I have a 1994 tourney with a yamaha 200hp 2 stroke saltwater series and the thing moves. I love having the extra power, it's great. However, if i had some money, i'd put on a brand new 4stroke 150. But having the 200 has been perfect for me except my wallet sort of hates me sometimes :)

Thanks for that. My motor is a 1994 so i'm not really sure if the ethenol is the problem. I haven't heard that you need to add fuel stabilizer every time, but i will try it and see what's doing. The motor has always seemed to lug when running at low RPM's and i just attributed that to it...

Thanks for all the advice! What sort of fuel treatment did you use? Typically when i winterize i use a fuel conditioner, are you talking about something else?

I have mine on the starboard side wall as well under the rear seat. It's nice and out of the way. My battery is pretty much the exact setup as the other guy, one under the seat and one port side. Hope this helps. For what it's worth, i would never put it in the engine well.
