We are on the Rappahanock River and it does get pretty rough out there often and I wasn't sure if a 2hp motor would even begin to push around my boat or not. I guess its good that I don't normally stray to far since most of the good fishing that I know about is within a 5-15 minute boat ride...

Is it worth putting a second engine (2hp maybe) on my 209? Just don't like the thought of that 200hp not working one day with nothing else but a paddle to get back. Any other recommended options that my not cost as much.

I don't have a comparison of with/wthout trim tabs. But, I could really feel the difference as I moved them up and down. Well, I had them installed on my 2004 209. I am going to put the boat in the water for the first time this weekend. The mechanic at the Marina, not the same guy that installed them, said the trim tabs worked great when he was testing the engine. Anyway....they look great....I will let you you...

I agree with colecaz. Sounds like your trying to push water into sealed tank, thus building up tank pressure cause there is no where for the air get out so the water can get in.

If your boat is on a trailer, look under the boat and see if you have two water inlet strainers, one would be opposite the hull of the Livewell Seacock, the other would be the one you are looking for. Like you said, you might not have a second water inlet since you have the Fresh Water Wash...

I recall reading 225HP Max. My boat has a 200HP. But I also remember reading that you didn't want less than 200 due to performance.

The last guy that said something negative about my boat......well.....I made em' Walk-the-Plank Arrrrgggh LOL Since the whole T-Top installation was new, the Hard Top was only about $200 more than the canvas.

Try your local dealer. However, I just looked at a picture of the ones on my 2004 209. Two of mine are cracked as well. I going to try Schedule-80 PVC Conduit and a can of spray paint from HomeDepot.
