same problem on mine dry rotted fill hose and a hole in the tank at the fuel sender bolts new tank new hoses 2 awful jobs

I believe they are solid. Had to take mine off this season and replacesome of the screws on the hinge it looked like a one peice to me couldn't see a laminate layer looking at it from the side

Just did my 86 with a 200 optimax. I am partial to the 2 stroke. 500 lbs or so top end is a little over 40 mph. Cruises at 3300 or so rpms at about 25 mph. Running a 4 blade prop and getting about 3.5 mpg. Couldn't be happier
