[Question Answered - not going to risk it] Seafarer 228 w/ 7,000 lb towing capacity?

Towed my Seafarer back from Boston to NY when I bought it, with a Silverado 1500. The trailers brakes did not work. Just leave plenty of room , you'll be fine.

Life threw a Curve Ball & I Hit it Out of the Park.

Well Guys & Gals, I sold the Salty Dog (Seafarer) after 1 year. I'm currently boat-less but I am looking for a small jon or semi v hull to fish local lakes. Here's the story: Due to major budget cuts in the Fire Department last December they laid off 15 men. So 3 of us senior guys retired so...

    Hudson Stripers

Hey Seasick, have you ever gone from the East river to the Sound? Is it difficult? Or are they just old sea stories? My brother lives by Port Jefferson and I always thought of coming down the Hudson to the LI Sound one day.

    Hudson Stripers

Had the Salty Dog out today n the Hudson by Newburgh with a few friends, it was a long time waiting for the Stripers to bite but we ended up landing 6 small ones, and a few catfish. The water was rough with the wind and moving tide. But we had a lot of laughs and got the Salty Dog a little...

Maintenance Day -- Too late to cover.

I tried to do it with tubing for about 10 minutes, I had a mess. Well worth the expense, I also bought the puller. I tried with an old wheel puller I had, that too was a PIA.

Do you replace the anodes on the bottom of the head regularly?

    Zincs and Anodes

Can someone school me on the ZIncs and Anodes on my Seafarer. Yahama 225. The only thing I see is the one under the tilt/trim on the transom. Also while we're at it, which hole in the motor does the speedometer readings? Thanks, John

    Shrink vs canvas cover.

This is from Darren: My Seafarer--no pulpit, or bracket. With Bimini not hardtop. I'm leaning toward the Westland--Fisher is a bit pricey for me. Westland Exact-fit Custom boat covers - Westland® has over 100 years of combined experience in the marine fabric industry. We only give the Exact...
