Hello everyone! After working intermittently for a few months, the tach gauge on my 1994 Adventure 20 has stopped working at all. I'm trying to think of the most efficient way to troubleshoot this, considering it could be the gauge itself, bad connection somewhere, or perhaps no signal coming...

Thanks everyone, for your responses! I ordered some precut pieces of Starboard HDPE in 1/2 inch thickness. Pretty expensive stuff, but at least it will not require any time or labor on my part.

Hi, the cushions are long gone and need to be replaced also. I think having separate boards and cushions is best...rather than cushion attached to a board.

Hello again, and thanks again for your generosity! However, this steering wheel is stuck on and I don't want to force it off. Probably that's how the hub got buggered up in the first place--someone trying to get the wheel off. It all works fine so I'm going to let it be. I'll work on bending...

That's very kind of you. Mine only has 5 spokes so it may be quite different. I'll have to make some measurements when I'm out at the boat this weekend.

Hello! Does anyone know what is supposed to be covering the hub of this steering wheel (1994 Adventure). It looks like someone got mad and pried it off!

Agreed! I'm very happy with my older 208. Even if I re-powered, fixed all the dings, and upgraded everything on the boat I'd be a long way from 100k.

A trolling motor would definitely push the 208 in calm and protected areas; I've used them on heavier boats. The engine mount option would be handy but I've noticed that MinnKota has stopped making them!

Personally, I don't think there should be any exterior upholstery on a boat, and this 218 has a lot of it.

Just in the last year it has disappeared from the line up.
