I just finished up my old 89 cowling with 08D and it definitely has some metallic flake in it. The pictures don’t show the metallic well but that’s your color. Good luck!

What battery did you run in the Dewalt Smoky? I went out and bought the new power stack batteries + the expensive fast charger and was very disappointed. Running the machine on the 5500 rpm setting with finess it2 I got maybe 10 minutes of run time at best.

You can get 5.5” lake country pads for it. I get mine through Auto Geek in Florida, they always seem to be on sale. The one on my machine is the foam wool pad, I would also recommend the orange foam pad for polishing gel coat. Good luck!

I know of one that could be had for the 1-2k range. My buddy has an 84 or 85 in good shape with a blown motor. Drew 302-584-2057. He bought an 87 with a newer Yamaha that he planned on swapping on to his older hull but his plans have changed.
