    ‘04 330 EXPRESS WRAP

Looks nice, One comment though, a few tears ago we were offshore in a patchy foggy situation and kept getting a contact on radar that we initially couldn’t see until we realized it was a grey hull against the grey fog bank. Just something to be aware of if you find yourself in those conditions...

    Cabin cushion recover

I agreed to the price, selected my fabric and asked when I could drop off the cushions and deposit. That back in Feb. Haven’t heard anything yet. This is a reliable local person who has done work for me before but she is really busy. Maybe I should have started this process in the fall. Might...

    Cabin cushion recover

That looks nice. Might have to consider that color instead of blue. Might make the cabin look a bit brighter as well. Rlloyd, my quote came just around where yours was, $1,600 using the existing foam ( nobody sleeps aboard…well, maybe once when the wife and I had a bit of a disagreement), marine...

    Cabin cushion recover

Time to recover the cabin cushions on my ‘99 226. Quote is for Sunbrella Marine Interior, my choice of color. There’s like 370 different colors for that fabric. Originally I had figured basic Navy Blue, serviceable and hides dirt, but thought I’d throw it out there if anybody else has any...

Looking at a 2000 Seafarer 226 - Need tips to look for common issues

Hi Kevin. I have a ‘99 226 that I bought 3 years ago and I love the boat. That being said, you are talking about a 22 year old boat. There are known transom issues with Gradys of that vintage as well as a host of other things depending on how it was maintained/used. I’m in my 60’s, been around...

    Yamaha Engine Update

I can’t afford a new factory boat… so I’ve got that going for me…which is nice.

suicide knob / power knob for steering whel

The Edson is worth the price. It will also occasionally remind you that it is there as well ( at least on the Seafarer).

    Cover for Fresh Water Shower

The cap on mine wouldn’t stay seated so I took a black zip tie, the type with the eye used for securing wire bundles, cut off all but about 1/2 inch of the tie and ran a longer mounting screw through eye. Now I just pivot the 1/2”tag end over the cap to keep it seated.

    Side spreader lights

I like the Lumitec Caprera2 as well. A little pricey but I like the fact that they are dimmable and the blue light option. They are so bright that I generally dim them during normal use.

    replacing gas tanks

My 226 is a ‘99. The tank looks to be in good condition viewed from the access panels but I wanted to be proactive on a 22year old tank. That was before a collapsed sewer line, which will get your attention way before any proactive boat work. So hopefully I can squeeze another year out of it.

    replacing gas tanks

I had SP Sheetmetal do a tank for my Mako a few years ago. They were in Barnegat at that time but have since moved to Dennisville. Great people to work with and an outstanding product. I’ll have them do my tank for my 226 when I replace it next spring. I had originally planned to do it this year...

Dropped mine in last Sat and the weather promptly went lousy.

    Cut, buff, wax.

KY, Sorry to hear something went that wrong. I had jumped on the thread at work to again admire how good she was looking and be inspired as another owner of a somewhat aged Seafarer and how good they can look given enough proper care (and cash). To hear it went south really bothered me and I was...
