Replacing tilt seals on Yamaha 200 HPDI

Tilt stopped working on port engine, engine remains in down position. Saturday I added hydraulic fluid and the main (center) tilt piston is leaking fluid when pushing (trying to push really) engine upwards. Are replacing the tilt seals something for the do-it-yourselfer or is this a job to...

    Yamaha 200 HPDI's

After blowing out the bad gas line with compressed air I replaced both Racors and filled up both gas tanks. It appears the problem is fixed as the motors ran great over the weekend. I suspect it was the Racor filter that needed relacing but who knows, only time will tell. Thanks all.

Both motors ran great until Sunday... we were running at 3/4 throttle when the port engine sputtered and stalled, sounded like...

The fish gods were smiling today, WOT with Grampsie and I was 47mph. With three more adults, two small kids and a big Chessie it was 42. I am able to breathe a big sigh of relief, boat ran great in everything from small chop behind the break wall to 3-5 footers on Lake Erie. Thanks again to...

Grampsie says he had them off one at a time but winked at me when I told him about the replies. We switched props asap and the problem appears cured to the eye. Second Sea trial at noon. Stay tuned and thanks a ton fellas. Kromke
