    Transom Transducer Mounting Location

Had the same issue on my gulfstream with my simrad totalscan transducer! I even built my own shield out of split PVC which helped until it tore off my transomsaver mount. Ended up giving up and went with a shoot thru transducer. Reads depth fine but less detailed as a fishfinder unfortunately

    Buying a 2005 Gulfstream

I had the same exact setup and switching to a 4 blade powertech OFS4 15.25x15 did wonders!

    Buying a 2005 Gulfstream

Cockpit floor moisture is expected and common due to the way Grady manufactured the decking. Had it on my 98. Simple fix by pulling up the deck and redoing with something better like coosa board. Dont run for that reason!

Porpoising on 98 gulfstream with repower

I know it sounds crazy but yes. All other factors remained the same. I simply looked at the water line before adding the weight and after. The motor is like a pendulum all the way out there on the bracket. Yes, I’ve been using Ken for years… great guy. But this suzuki is a different animal tho...

Porpoising on 98 gulfstream with repower

Never needed to use tabs with the old motor (I used them 90% of the time to correct side to side lean). Using tabs with the new motor helps but doesn’t solve the porpoising. Today I actually just stuffed 150lbs of pea gravel in the anchor locker/front of cabin and the boat did run a lot better...

Porpoising on 98 gulfstream with repower

Ok so long story short I used to have a 250ox66 on my 98 gulfstream. After a few seasons I swapped a 4blade powertech on it and the boat rode exponentially better than the stock 3 blade. I was so happy with the stern lift which made the boat float over the chop like a Cadillac compared to...

Best transducer placement for 99 Gulfstream with single engine on a bracket

Just an FYI…. I used a sternpad and installed correctly as per manufacturer’s directions. Lasted less than one season before i noticed my totalscan transducer was gone… yes gone, after a trip running through clean water on a fairly rough day. I was less than happy to say the least. This is on a...

    2007 Grady White 228 Seafarer for sale - $64k - Not mine

I’ve seen some crazy prices on boats recently but this one may take the cake. What a joke

    Updating stereo on boat 228

Thanks for the info- yeah right now I have my old 12inch sub/box from my teenager car audio years in the cabin of my gulfstream because it was sitting in my attic collecting dust. As you said- it actually sounds horrible, and I also don’t want to overload my kid’s ears when they are in the...

    Updating stereo on boat 228

I wonder if that size woofer can fit in my 98 gulfstream in that area….

    Repower - 98' 232 gulfstream

What are you topping out at with the 300? Are you using the stock 3 blade prop with the new 300 or did you go with a 4 blade?

    Repower - 98' 232 gulfstream

From the looks of that estimate that doesn’t include a new bracket. You probably didn’t need one. But still a fair price given the things I’ve seen lately. Where was this estimate from if you don’t mind me asking?

    Repower - 98' 232 gulfstream

Thanks for the info. I hope that includes controls, prop, and install. These prices are outrageous lately.

    Repower - 98' 232 gulfstream

Yes keeping the existing bracket with no adjustments. The f300 or zuke 300 will bolt on with no changes. And wow! That’s a fortune for the duo prop. What was your quote on a regular 300?
